  39.  INTERNATIONAL ACCESS International customers outside the United States will require a Network User Identification (NUI) account with the local Public Data Network (PDN) Provider to connect to Portal. Contact your local phone company or x.25 provider.  Once you get this NUI, the PDN will bill all the hourly charges and Portal will just bill you the monthly fee.

PORTAL USER AGREEMENT This agreement is between you the The Portal Information Network, Incorporated (Portal).  Your Portal account is for the use by one person only, and you agree that your password and any charges are your responsibility. You will be billed every month for your Portal account, according to our currently published rates, until you explicitly close your account. If you choose to pay by credit card, you authorize us to bill these charges to your card.

Portal is open to the public. You are solely responsible for your usage of Portal and any entry you make on Portal may be deemed a "publication" of the information entered. Acknowledging the foregoing, you specifically agree not to use Portal in any way which is illegal, libelous, profane, or indecent. You agree to conform to the rules and regulations of any networks which you may access through your Portal account.

  46. Portal reserves the right to make any changes to Portal and its content, and to refuse service to anyone at any time.

This Agreement is effective when you first use Portal and continues until terminated by either party.  You may cancel your account at any time by notifying Portal.  If this agreement is terminated you are still responsible for any charges on your account.  The Portal Information Network can change this Agreement at any time upon notice to you by electronic mail or other means.  You may not change or amend this agreement.

You agree to use Portal at your own risk.  Portal specifically disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.  In no event shall Portal be liable for any loss or profit or any other commercial damage, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or other damages.

Portal does not control what people say or send.  If you use what other people have entered into Portal, you are responsible for how you use that information.  You agree to hold Portal, its employees or authorized agents harmless for any material placed on Portal by any person not representing or acting officially on behalf of Portal.

This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of California.  You may not assign or transfer this Agreement.  This Agreement is the entire understanding between you and The Portal Information Network concerning Portal.  Your use of Portal constitutes agreement with these conditions.

  56. Portal and the Portal logo are registered trademarks.  The Portal IP Connection and The Portal Information Network are trademarks of Portal Information Network, Inc.  Other trademarks are property of their respective holders.
